True Leuven horror and horror stories, worthy of a Halloween movie. The chronicles describe Leuven in the 15th and 16th centuries as the prestigious cultural, artistic, and intellectual center of the Low Countries: the first and, for 150 years, only university in these Low Countries, a prestigious chapter, home to Pope Adrian and top painters like Bouts. Civilized, you might think? And it is, but Leuven also had its dark side. In this walk, I'll take you to places where things happened worthy of a Halloween movie. And, based on historical events, I'll tell stories that will give you the creeps and chills.
